“It is all about sustainability in all levels of your organization! – The trick is not to plan, the real challenge is to make your staff feel and be sustainable“
Founder, Jacob Thomsen
I specialize in sustainability and business development within the golf industry, both in Denmark and internationally. In collaboration with The R&A, GC2030 team
– Teaching, facilitating and advise leaders on sustainability, ESG, ESRS, and strategic business transformation.
My work focuses are turning sustainability into a competitive advantage for golf clubs by translating strategy into concrete action and long-term value. I have developed game-based dialogue tools that engage golf clubs in the green transition by fostering ownership, motivation, and innovation.
Previously, I worked as a Sustainability Consultant at the Danish Golf Union, where I co-authored the organization’s sustainability strategy and designed educational programs supporting greenkeeper management.
Alongside my consultancy, I serve as a Special Consultant for Nyborg Municipality, managing EU climate and energy projects, and as an Associate Professor, teaching sustainable business models and LCA. With a MSc in International Business Development, I combine hands-on industry experience with strong academic insight into sustainability, learning, and strategic innovation.
